The following tables list a number of canon Marvel characters divided into their present teams. The list is not exclusive, so that canon characters not listed here can still be applied for. To put a hold on a original character, just reply below with a PB and and faction for your character. Description: In the aftermath of the Skrull Invasion, Norman Osborn put this team together to function as the new, U.S. sanctioned Avengers team under the aegis of H.A.M.M.E.R. Unknown to the public, the team is actually comprised of a number of super-villains dressed up as heroes. Unlike previous incantations of the Avengers, Osborn's team is hardcore, aggressive, and even lethal, so he masterfully covers up the latter in the media. Current Activity: • Arresting and otherwise hunting down members of the Mighty and New Avengers
Description: In response to the formation of the Dark Avengers, Henry Pym, in his latest superhero persona as the new Wasp, leads an Avengers team outside the U.S. and H.A.M.M.E.R.'s jurisdiction. With the apparent help of the Scarlet Witch — actually, a disguised Loki, the Norse trickster god — he summons the Vision and Stature of the Young Avengers, U.S. Agent, the Hulk, Jocasta, Hercules, Amadeus Cho, and Iron Man. As the self-described authentic Avengers, the team operates from an inter-dimensional headquarters. It is granted official recognition outside the U.S. by the international organization G.R.A.M.P.A., and combats super-villains and other entities including Chthon, and the Unspoken. Current Activity: • Getting settled in the Infinite Avengers Mansion
Description: An unofficial group of unregistered heroes who continue to operate in defiance of the Superhero Registration Act. In the aftermath of the final battle with the Skrulls, Bucky Barnes invites the team to his apartment, both to reorganize and as a new meeting place. Current Activity: • Fighting on and off with the Dark Avengers while trying to avoid being captured or otherwise detecting them • Battling the forces of the Hood
Description: The team came together as part of the Vision's plan to reform the Avengers after they had disassembled in the wake of the madness of the Scarlet Witch. Newspapers refer to the young heroes as "super-powered fanboys" and labeled them the "Young Avengers," a name the team members initially disliked but which stuck nonetheless. The Young Avengers haved used their abilities to protect those that could not protect themselves and fought against evil at every turn, all while facing the challenges of being teenagers. Current Activity: • Facing off with Young Masters for the right to be called 'Young Avengers'
Description: A group of villains that comes together in the aftermath of the Secret Invasion to control the superhuman world behind the scenes. Although the group is headed up by Norman Osborn, each of the members has their own agenda. Current Activity: • Showing their true colors, Namor and Emma Frost turned on Osborn to rejoin the X-Men
Description: The brilliant aeronautical engineer Reed Richards inadvertently created the Fantastic Four after deciding to make an unauthorized test flight into space using an experimental rocket of his own design. Bombarded by by cosmic radiation, Reed Richards, Bejamin Grimm, as well as Johnny and Susan Storm emerged from the crashed rocket to discover they had developed super powers. Banding together and forming the Fantastic Four, they became idolized by the public, having saved the world countless times over the years. Current Activity:
Description: After having come together to battle the Phalanx, Star-Lord decides to form a team that will be proactive in protecting the galaxy, rather than reacting to crises as they happen. After an initial clash with the revitalized Universal Church of Truth, the team's investigation of a mass of "Limbo ice" reveals a semi-amnesiac man who identifies himself as Vance Astro - Major Victory of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Astro's declaration inspires the as-yet-unnamed team to adopt the "Guardians of the Galaxy" name for their own. Current Activity: • Worked to settle the War of Kings peacefully • Ultimately joined with the Starjammers to try to free Lilandra from Vulcan
Description: When given control of S.H.I.E.L.D. following the Secret Invasion, Norman Osborn dissolved the organization and formed H.A.M.M.E.R. in its place. Made up of agents who were loyal to the Thunderbolts initiative, as well as former S.H.I.E.L.D. and even HYDRA operatives. In an effort to make H.A.M.M.E.R.'s image more palatable to the general public, Osborn reorganized the Avengers, filling their ranks with members of the Thunderbolts. Current Activity: • Hunting down Tony Stark
Description: The syndicate first came together when the Hood invited a large contingent of villains to a meeting where he gave each of them $25,000, as both a means to gain their confidence as well as their loyalty. He promises the gathered villains much more if they help him in his aspirations to become the Kingpin of all super-villains in New York. Enough of the villains joined with the Hood to be called a small army. Current Activity: • Cementing the Hood's control of New York City
Description: Over the years, the British Government has formed a number of organizations dedicated to dealing with paranormal occurrences, including S.T.R.I.K.E., the RCX, the Weird Happenings Organization , and Black Air - all of which eventually collapsed. Black Air, the most recent of these organizations, attempted a coup in alliance with the British Hellfire Club, which was thwarted by European team Excalibur. The British intelligence community, acting on information received from Excalibur, had Black Air closed down, forcing it underground. In the aftermath, the Government decided to take all of its previous paranormal organizations and fold them into a single Department, with Alistaire Stuart, formerly of the Weird Happenings Organization, as the Department's head. Alistaire left the Department to head up an intelligence team in MI-6, while Wisdom was appointed as the Department's senior officer, reporting only to Grimsdale. Sometime during Wisdom's tenure, the Department was renamed MI-13. Current Activity: • MI-13 most recently foiled a plot by Dracula to take over the United Kingdom
Description: Years after the team have disbanded, it has been revealed that Magik, Moonstar, Cannonball, Magma, Karma and Sunspot are going to be bonded together. The New Mutants are functionally another field team for the X-Men. Current Activity:
Description: Recognizing that Earth was being invaded by alien sleeper agents, Fury assembled a team of Secret Warriors to defend it. Fury chose them not only for their competence, but also for their relative anonymity: he knew that obscure heroes would be ones least likely to be targeted for replacement by the Skrulls. Current Activity: • Battling the forces of H.A.M.M.E.R. and HYDRA
Description: Brought together by the Red Queen, each member was offered the chance to have a dead loved one brought back to life in exchange for their services. Not long after forming, the Sisterhood made a move against the X-Men in an attempt to gain the body of Jean Grey, which the Red Queen had hoped to possess. Current Activity: • Defeated by the X-Men in their attempt to take the body of Jean Grey • Though seemingly defeated, the Sisterhood is reorganizing and planning its next move
Description: Current Activity: • With Vulcan seemingly dead as a result of his confrontation with Black Bolt and his T-bomb, the Starjammers are dealing with the aftermath of the war between the Shi'ar and Inhumans
Description: Named after Shi'ar starship they stole, the original Starjammers formed to combat the tyrannical reign of D'Ken, utilizing acts of piracy and sabotage. The present lineup came together to see Vulcan brought to justice, and Lilandra returned to the Shi'ar throne. Current Activity: • With Vulcan seemingly dead as a result of his confrontation with Black Bolt and his T-bomb, the Starjammers are dealing with the aftermath of the war between the Shi'ar and Inhumans
Description: When Norman Osborn was the power to create H.A.M.M.E.R. and a new Avengers team, he officially shut down the Thunderbolts team. In reality, however, he merely promoted many of his Thunderbolts to be his Avengers. To replace them, Osborn brought on a number of mercenaries and killers onto the team, which would not function as his personal black ops, kill squad. Current Activity: • It has come out that Norman Osborn himself tricked Natasha Romanova into believing Nick Fury had given her orders to infiltrate the Thunderbolts as Yelena Belova. Osborn used her to pressure test his team and determine who was really loyal to his cause. • Osborn has recently brought in the real Yelena Belova to head up his team
Description: In order to save mutantkind from the effects of M-Day, Beast and Angel gathered a team of specialists to help them, consisting of Madison Jeffries, Yuriko Takiguchi, Dr. Nemesis, and Dr. Kavita Rao, who was formerly trying to cure mutation. Together, they tried to figure out a means through which to turn the x-gene back on. Current Activity: • The X-Club was responsible for raising Asteroid M from the ocean floor, which has become the new base for the X-Men, Utopia.
Description: X-Factor Investigations was a detective agency run by Jamie Madrox, formerly known as the costumed superhero Multiple Man. The agency was originally named XXX Investigations, but team members thought that it sounded too much like Madrox was investigating pornography. The new name was taken from the government-sponsored mutant super group that the three founders had previously served on. Current Activity:
Description: With the mutant population at less than two hundred, and no new mutants being born, Cyclops has resorted to desperate measures to keep what mutants remain alive. To this end, he authorized the formation of X-Force, a black ops team designed to kill the enemies of the X-Men, and all mutantkind. Their existence is a closely kept secret. Current Activity: • X-Force has recently returned from the future, where they fought against Stryfe and Bishop to aide Cable and save Hope
Description: Osborn created his own team of X-Men to control the public image of mutant/human relations, and to succeed where he believed Cyclops had failed in controlling the riots in San Francisco. To add further legitimacy to his X-Men, Osborn commissioned Mystique to masquerade as Charles Xavier and denounce Cyclops. Thus far, it has proven an effective strategy. Current Activity: • Emma Frost, Namor, Cloak, and Dagger have all left the team, leaving a void Osborn is working to fill
Description: The children of the atom. The X-Men were originally brought together by Professor Charles Xavier, to fulfill his dream of a day when mutants and humans could live together in peace. Unfortunately, and especially in the present time, that dream now seems impossible. With growing mutant hatred, Cyclops, now the head of the X-Men, is simply struggling to keep alive what few mutants remain. Current Activity: • The X-Men have left United States soil to found a new home on the newly risen Asteroid M, rechristened 'Utopia.' • The combined numbers of the X-Men managed to fight off the Osborn's Dark Avengers and X-Men
Description: A group of young super powered individuals that are controlled by Norman Osborn. They function as his own Young Avengers team. Current Activity: • Fighting with the Young Avengers for their team name
